There is no God
In this essay the writer is an atheist. He uses the thought that you cant prove the existence of a God. I disagree with his reasoning because it can be used the other way around. I agree with other parts of the essay, such as when he suggests fixing problems, rather than asking a God to fix, or help fix, these problems. He talks about forgiveness being only given by people and not by a God so it makes him try harder to do right. I believe that if everyone was atheist that this mind set will not work because not everyone will follow it. He also talks about when there is a world problem, people blame a God. I completely disagree with this statement because people generally don’t blame a God, they ask why the God allowed this to happen.
The Rule Of law
In this essay the author talks about the rule of law being one of the greatest achievements of the human race. I completely agree with what this essay says about a need for law. I believe that without law, the world would go to chaos. Keeping law, keeps order in society. The author also says that law set our values, which I also agree with.
Knowing Where A Person Is From
In this essay the author talks about her manager at her first high school job. Her manager told her that it is important to know languages and culture to be able to understand someone. She always has thanked him for this because she is less judgmental because she does not know where they or from, what customs they are used to, and what situation they are in.
